The restyling of Fiandre's headquarters, curated by Iosa Ghini Associati, has captured and realised the cornerstones of a new vision of workspaces in which the fundamental element is people's well-being: work environments merge with spaces for sharing and relaxation to respond to the need for health, sociality and sustainability.
The project by Iosa Ghini Associati, who also designed custom-made furniture and accessories for the headquarters, has completely redesigned and renovated the 2,400 square metres, spread over the three floors, of Fiandre's historic office headquarters in Castellarano.
Rethinking office space means going beyond the theme of just workspace, to define new paradigms in relation to the needs of people, both employees and stakeholders. The restyling of the Castellarano headquarters goes in this direction, but also follows the evolution of Fiandre which, consistent with the new statement - for unique expressions - stands out for its ability to define tailor-made ceramic solutions that respond to the desire for uniqueness of its interlocutors.
In the restyling project, everything speaks of attention and comfort for the people who work in this space: the glass walls to allow natural light to penetrate both offices and common areas, the soundproofing, the polarised screening systems to guarantee privacy, the chromatic and material combinations according to chromotherapy principles. In line with Fiandre's ability to produce well-being through materials, many cutting-edge application solutions have been used in the interiors, made with innovative technologies that highlight the performance of the ceramic surfaces produced by Iris Ceramica Group.
The Active Surfaces® (eco-active surfaces) play a leading role, having been chosen for the flooring throughout all three floors of the headquarters, for the office desks and meeting tables, as well as for the bar area and service areas: 5,058 square metres of Active Surfaces® inside the building lead to a benefit in terms of reduction of nitrogen oxide (NOx) equal to 6.0 kg / year and therefore over 10,000 cubic metres of air purified per day from VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) and odours, according to calculations carried out by the Department of Chemistry of the University of Milan.
Energy saving and flexibility of use have guided the choice of LED luminaires that use the DALI protocol to simplify the management of artificial lighting.
In the basement there is a cafeteria, some offices, two meeting rooms and an area with a view of the garden. The wall-mounted unit with disappearing doors in the bar area features a decoration with triangular cuts in the Marsala Red tone from the Balance collection. This area is illuminated by Underscore linear luminaires and Crystal recessed luminaires, with General Light optics and a colour temperature of 4000K. The Club Area, a relaxation space overlooking a green area with glass walls, is flooded with natural light during the day, while the artificial lighting for the evening hours is provided by Laser Blade L recessed luminaires with Wide Flood optics and a colour temperature of 4000K.
For the two meeting rooms, with 6 and 18 seats, the lighting solution is entrusted to IN60 luminaires with UGR optics arranged above the tables and Laser Blade recessed luminaires with Wide Flood optics to provide fill light.
Also located on the other floors of the headquarters - each of different sizes and configurations - the meeting rooms are equipped with light and polarised glass adjustment systems that can be controlled with Hypertouch®, an exclusive and smart technology, designed and patented by Iris Ceramica Group, applied to ceramic slabs with "touch" controls that activate an integrated system of home automation sensors, eliminating external plates and switches.
In all the offices, distributed over the three floors of the headquarters, the Maximum surfaces in large slabs, used in different colours, have made it possible to personalise the coverings. The artificial lighting is entrusted to IN 60 Space linear luminaires with luminance control optics, placed above the worktops, and adjustable Laser Blade recessed luminaires with Wide Flood optics.
In the management office, the linear luminaire on the meeting table and on the desk is the Libera system, pendant, which is then integrated with the Superrail recessed luminaire with Palco Low Voltage spotlights. In the transit areas, Crystal recessed luminaires with general light optics and longitudinal oval optics are used instead.
It is interesting to mention that within the management area there is an entire wall dedicated to the work of the digital artist Becha (created for the Cersaie 2023 exhibition space)The wall features a large 18x3 metre mural printed on ceramic slabs with DYS (Design Your Slabs) technology, which has been relocated here to confirm the Group's commitment to sustainability, reuse and circularity.
The hall space is characterised by three zones delimited by curved walls: the reception desk and two waiting areas arranged symmetrically. Both the desk and the system of curved and sculptural wings are made with SapienStone surfaces by Ceramica 4D, an avant-garde technology by Iris Ceramica Group. In this environment, the lighting is entrusted to Underscore light lines hidden inside coves, which underline the curvature of the surfaces with their luminous effect, while the general lighting is entrusted to Crystal recessed luminaires with longitudinal oval optics, integrated by two luminous lines created by IN30 Low Contrast alternating with Laser Blade XS.
